AMEA contract ratification meeting for part-time unit next week!

Dear AMEA Member, 

AMEA and the City of Anaheim have reached a tentative agreement on wages, hours, and conditions of employment for AMEA represented employees in the Part-Time Bargaining Unit. The next step is contract ratification by you and your coworkers. You can view the deal points by clicking hereincluding details about next week's information and ratification sessions. Those are scheduled on Monday, Oct. 7, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday Oct. 8, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the AMEA offfice. Drop in during those hours; the City will provide reasonable time off to vote.

Over the past several months, your AMEA bargaining team, comprised of Executive Board members and members of the Part-Time unit, constantly reminded the City of your hard work and demanded fair compensation and recognition for your service to the public. We succeeded and the tentative agreement includes both base building wage increases and a lump sum payment. You should see the increases in your paycheck for the first pay period after City Council adoption of the agreement.
