Getting to know your AMEA - Floating holiday

In October, the General and Clerical Units ratified the MOU between AMEA and the City of Anaheim. The contract runs through June 2022.

As part of the agreement you can now enjoy an additional holiday per calendar year. Here’s what you need to know about the floating holiday:

• You need management approval prior to scheduling your holiday.
• You code it as a regular holiday on your timesheet.
• Use it or lose it! Take advantage of this additional benefit every year because it does not roll over to the next year.
• It does not have any monetary value, so it cannot be cashed out.
