Seminar - Finding Strength with Kaiser Permanente's Kevin Pham

Dear OCEA Member,

It's time for another OCEA "Members Only" seminar with Kaiser Permanente's Kevin Pham. This week, Kevin focuses on "Finding Strength." This is the 7th installment of an eight-week course entitled "Mindful Minute with Kevin Pham." OCEA is providing the series to our members in partnership with Kaiser Permanente

About Kevin Pham
Kevin is a Kaiser Health Educator and experienced personal trainer. He also holds a Yoga Teacher Training Certification and is committed to improving his clients' health and quality of life. This Week's Tips from Kevin Pham
"There are times where we feel physically and mentally exhausted," says Kevin. "It can be a work project, home improvement landscaping, or even feeling drained from our relationships with others."  Kevin offers the following tips on how we can rebound when we feel hopeless and overwhelmed by a situation or problem:

  • Taking a break isn't giving up. It's recharging through participating in activities that you love. If you're feeling exhausted, find an activity that will restore and relax your physical and mental state;
  • Find strength in someone you love. "My mom is the hardest worker, I know," says Kevin. "When I need inspiration, I think of her and what she's done for our family.";
  • Look at every situation in which we do our best and accept things that are out of control; and,
  • Trust that what you're doing is enough.

OCEA's “Members Only” seminars were previously held at OCEA Headquarters or at various work locations. With the increase in COVID-19 vaccination rates, we look forward to holding these seminars in person soon. Until then, we remain committed to standing together with each of you in our union. We are OCEA strong!
