Dear OCEA member,

We have heard from many of you that you miss our “members only” events previously held at OCEA Headquarters or at various work locations. These seminars on personal finance, health and recreational activities are designed to help you with both your personal and professional development.

We can’t hold those seminars in person because of the pandemic but we can bring you content produced especially for you.

UCI Health Center is stepping up to do just that. The Center has produced video content that you can view at your convenience. If you are looking for a way to lower food cravings, protect yourself from cancer and dementia, ward off colds and flu, and lower your risks of heart attack and stroke, then this informative seminar from UC Irvine Health, “How to Get Better Sleep,” is just what you need.

For many of us, getting the sleep we need isn’t as easy as it sounds so UCI Professor Dr. Douglas Trask is going to share with you the rules of sleep hygiene and discuss common sleep disorder issues. There is also a very informative segment on sleep apnea. Click here to begin watching this video recorded exclusively for OCEA members. It’s about 37-minutes long and includes this number, 844-227-3824, where you can call for more information.

Next week, we will have another video from UCI Health on Diabetes Prevention. You can also get more information on OCEA’s annual Health Fair including our opportunity drawings at ocea.org/healthfair.

The pandemic may have closed our building, but nothing can stop our commitment to standing together with each of you in our union. We are OCEA strong!

In Solidarity,

Orange County Employees Association
