Voice of OC: Katie Porter pulls ahead of her incumbent Mimi Walters and DA preps handoff to Spitzer

Katie Porter, who has been gaining as ballots continue to be counted, pulled ahead of Rep. Mimi Walters (R-Irvine) by less than one percentage point Tuesday in the 45th Congressional District, marking the third of four Republican-held congressional races with Democrats now in the lead.

 

OC Register: Costa Mesa city manager to depart with severance

After a closed-door discussion prior to its meeting, the City Council announced a 3-2 vote to terminate Hatch’s contract and pay him severance, city spokesman Tony Dodero confirmed. Councilwoman Katrina Foley and Councilman John Stephens voted no.
