OC Register: County picks John Wayne Airport redesign plan to make more room for smaller planes

Newport Beach Mayor Diane Dixon said Monday the city supports the plan, proposed by Supervisor Michelle Steel, to designate 34.6 acres for hangars and services for smaller planes, and 25.6 acres for larger plane and jet hangars and services.

Labor 411: Ikea workers say yes to Union

The union, known as IAM, said it has won the right to bargain for 186 employees at the two locations. IAM organizer Dennis Mendenhall said workers voted 83-76 to join the union in ballots cast Wednesday and Thursday.
