KTLA: O.C. reports first COVID-19 related death as cases climb to 152

The cases are made up of 89 men and 63 women. Fifty-three of the cases were travel-related exposure, 16 were person to person spread, 45 were community acquired and 39 cases remain under investigation, the health agency reported.

After seeing several beaches overrun by visitors over the weekend, Laguna Beach is closing its city beaches, while Huntington Beach shut down its pier and the state is blocking access to its parking lots in response to growing concerns that not enough social distancing was occurring to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday he would close parking lots at dozens of beaches and state parks to prevent the spread of coronavirus after large groups flocked to the coast and mountains to get outdoors on the first weekend under the state's stay-at-home order.
