AMEA Bargaining Update - Aug. 30, 2019

Your AMEA bargaining team is excited to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with the City for AMEA's General and Clerical bargaining units, subject only to approval of final language by AMEA and the City. We anticipate preparing and being able to email a tentative agreement summary to members on Tuesday after the Labor Day holiday. As in the past, on Thursday, September 5, we will conduct a series of informational meetings.

The first meeting will be at AMEA headquarters from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Additional meetings will be held at the Gordon Hoyt conference room on the 2nd floor of City Hall West, from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. AMEA members will be able to vote on the contract at any of those meetings and also all day Friday, September 6 from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the AMEA offices.

We think we have achieved the very best contract possible, one that will continue to improve the economic security of you and your families.

Watch for an email Tuesday for more specifics, plan to attend one of the informational meetings onThursday, September 5, and make sure to demonstrate to the City AMEA's strength in numbers by voting on the contract.
