Attorney's Clerk Series Maintenance Study Completed

Dear OCEA member,

We are excited to announce we have received the County’s classification and compensation study recommendation for the Attorney Clerk I & II classifications.

This effort was initiated by a dedicated group of members from the Public Defender’s office who in May 2022 came forward to address what they believed to be pay inequities. Their commitment to achieving competitive wages will, after approval by the Board of Supervisors, positively impact over 100 OCEA members spanning multiple agencies—Public Defender, District Attorney, and Child Support Services.

There are also some changes being made to job descriptions, which can be viewed by clicking here. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your assigned labor relations representative by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 27.

District Attorney: Linda Meyer (lmeyer@ocea.org)
Public Defender: Michelle Rubio (mrubio@ocea.org)
Child Support Services: Louie Gurrola (lgurrola@ocea.org)

Approval of the recommendation is scheduled to be considered by the Board of Supervisors at its April 23, 2024, meeting.

In Solidarity,

OCEA
