CMCEA Bargaining Update - March 5, 2020

Dear CMCEA member,

Our current MOU with the City expires on June 30, 2020 and landing a new contract that includes the wages and benefits that you and your family deserve is our top priority.

We have met with the City on three (3) occasions and presented our Initial Proposal on January 28.  Last week we received a response from the City containing clean-up language and non-substantive changes. On March 10, we reconvene discussions with the City and expect to receive their full response to our Initial Proposal. We will communicate after each session and provide updates as events unfold.

Your CMCEA Bargaining Team consists the following members:

Robert Gonzalez, Information Technology
Samantha Hall, Public Services
Monique Pham, Police Department
Arash Rahimian, Public Services
Kelly Dalton, Public Services
Ryan Bohr, Development Services
Paul Mackinen, Public Services

Our goal is to land a new contract within a time frame that provides a smooth transition from the current MOU. The City's negotiating team and Council adoption are just two of the elements we can't directly control but we can make sure that we are standing together and speaking with one voice. If you would like to get involved in helping us achieve a fair contract, log onto www.ocea/getinvolved.org.

In solidarity,

Your CMCEA Bargaining Team
