CMCEA Contract Ratified

Dear CMCEA member,

Your CMCEA 2022-2025 MOU was overwhelmingly ratified by the bargaining unit membership. Thanks to all who voted. Your voices have been heard. Your bargaining team negotiated a contract that includes increases to PERS-able wages, retirement enhancements, and flex benefits that put more money in your pockets. The negotiated enhancements include a:

  • 2.0% wage increase effective the pay period that includes January 1, 2023
  • 3.0% wage increase effective the pay period that includes July 1, 2023
  • 3.0% wage increase effective the pay period that includes July 1, 2024
  • 3.0% reduction in your PERS cost sharing effective the pay period that includes July 1, 2023
  • Monthly flex health benefit increase of $50 each year, effective January 1, 2023, January 1, 2024, and January 1, 2025
  • 0.5% 457(b) Deferred Compensation Match

The contract also includes a significant number of workplace enhancements. 

Your CMCEA bargaining team fought for you. Their willingness to participate in the process and the knowledge they brought to the table exemplify the importance of participation in your Association. When workers stand together, we can accomplish great things.

The Costa Mesa City Council will vote on adoption on November 15, 2022.
