COVID-19 Testing For ALL Sheriff's Department Personnel

Dear Sheriff's Department OCEA member,

Many of you have recently contacted OCEA regarding an April 9^th Internal Bulletin titled "COVID-19 Testing of Symptomatic Sworn Personnel.” The Bulletin did not mention testing availability for other workers at the Sheriff’s Department. You can read the Bulletin below.

Sheriff Barnes and Assistant Sheriff Briggs have confirmed to OCEA General Manager Charles Barfield that COVID-19 testing referred to in the Bulletin applies to all Sheriff's Department personnel exhibiting symptoms. 

If you experience COVID-19 symptoms, please follow the instructions in the Bulletin to arrange for testing at UCI. Any concerns should be addressed through your chain of command.
