Important! FMEF Membership Meeting Sept. 16

Dear FMEF member,

As you know, FMEF members are aggressively fighting the City’s proposed budget cuts and austerity measures. Your co-workers have spoken at council meetings, held briefings with community organizations, conducted workshops for our elected officials, published editorials in local media, and continue to conduct a financial analysis of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). We have been fighting back and your Union has left no stone unturned.

This has all taken place against the backdrop of our current contract negotiations. The FMEF Team resumes bargaining in a few short weeks, but the fight for a fair contract needs YOU!

We need FMEF members to attend an important in person membership meeting on Thursday, September 16th. To accommodate your work schedules, we will hold two (2) separate membership meetings. The first meeting will be from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the second meeting will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Please see the flyer below. The meetings will be held in the Maintenance Conference Room at the Public Works Yardlocated at 1580 W. Commonwealth, Fullerton 92833. Food will be served.

At these meetings we will review the Council’s latest actions and discuss the steps you and your co-workers can take to fight for fair treatment.

In Solidarity,

Veronica Rodarte
Sr. Labor Relations Representative
