Important OMEA Membership Meeting – Tentative Agreement or LBFO Ratification Vote

Dear OMEA Members,

We are holding an important membership meeting on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, to provide the latest updates on negotiations and review the package that will be put to a ratification vote. Lunch will be provided, and Human Resources has approved release time for OMEA members.

Meeting Times (Choose One)

  • 1st Meeting: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • 2nd Meeting: 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

The same information will be shared at both meetings. Please RSVP via outlook on your work email so we can get an accurate headcount for lunch. Note: Meeting location is the City Council Chambers

What to Expect

The City presented what it described as its final package offer. OMEA responded with a counterproposal. If the City accepts the terms of our counterproposal during closed session on Tuesday, July 22, members will vote to ratify our Tentative Agreement (TA).

If the City rejects our counterproposal and instead moves forward with its Last, Best, and Final Offer (LBFO), members will vote to ratify the City’s final package.

Regardless of the outcome, all terms and details will be shared during the July 23 meetings, and the ratification vote will immediately follow.

Voting will remain open through 5 p.m. on Friday, July 25.
We will also send out a follow-up email with a summary of the terms and conditions of either the TA or the LBFO, and a voting link for those unable to attend.

Out of Office Next Week?

We know July is a popular time for vacations, and some members may be out of the office. If you’ll be away, please be sure to check your personal email for important updates. Your voice matters, and your participation in this vote will help shape what comes next.

Thank you for staying engaged and united through this process.

In Solidarity,

OMEA
