Take the Survey: Culture & Concerns at OC Assessor's Dept.

Dear OCEA member,

Multiple OCEA members have reached out to OCEA in response the Assessor Department decision to again reduce telecommuting, this time from 2 days to 1 day per week. Unfortunately, the County’s telecommuting policy leaves telecommuting decisions up to each individual agency/department head. During negotiations this year we proposed adding fair and reasonable telecommuting provisions to our MOUs, but the County would not agree to any of those proposals.

Further, although we received many calls and emails regarding from Assessor Department workers, none of those we have been able to speak with have been willing to attach their names to their concerns. Without members who will themselves speak up, it is much more difficult to effectively address Assessor Department workplace issues.

In order to measure working conditions at the Assessor Department, please complete this survey about the workplace culture and current issues.

We do hear you! We want to know more so we can begin to create change that benefits you and your co-workers, so you can continue to do the critical work you do for the residents of Orange County.

Thank you for your input.

In Solidarity,

OCEA
