Dear OCEA member,

Thank you to all who attended OCEA’s May 11, 2023 virtual membership meeting. During the meeting OCEA’s General Manager and lead negotiator, Charles Barfield, provided an overview of the current status of negotiations. Make no mistake—the OCEA Negotiations Team is fighting to secure a good contract for you and your co-workers!

We have had five negotiations sessions and there is still much work ahead. OCEA’s Negotiations Team meets again with the County Wednesday, May 24. We will update you after that meeting on any progress and potential next steps.
