OCWDEA Board elections are here!

Dear OCWDEA member,

Our annual Board elections are here. This year, the Board is also asking members to approve an amendment to the OCWDEA Bylaws to add a 7th member. The goal is to ensure that night shift workers are represented on the Board. It was unanimously agreed that adding a member would be the best way to accomplish that. The change can be made with a simple majority vote of the OCWDEA membership. Please take a minute to click on the link here and cast your vote.

If you have any questions, you can reach out to me, OCEA Labor Relations Representative Veronica Rodarte, at vrodarte@ocea.org or any member of the Board of Directors. Voting ends Friday, February 26, 2021, at 6 p.m.

One of the many benefits of union membership is the right of members to determine their union leaders. Voting provides you the opportunity to communicate your concerns and priorities to those who represent you. Just as important, a strong election turnout also sends an unequivocal message to management that OCWDEA members stand together.

In Solidarity,

Veronica Rodarte
Labor Relations Representative
