Seminar: Healthy Brain Aging with Dr. Cheryl Alvarez

Dear OCEA member,

How can I improve my brain health and decrease my risk of brain impairment? What about caring for a family member with dementia? How can I best support a caregiver? These are questions Dr. Cheryl Alvarez can help to answer in this informative video from the Alzheimer's Family Services Center.

This is another installment of our ongoing “members only” series that were previously held at OCEA Headquarters or at various work locations. We can’t hold those seminars in person because of the pandemic but we can bring you content produced especially for you. The video runs about 39-minutes. Click the play button above to view the program.

Dr. Alvarez is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, and Program Director at Mind & Memory Program, which was launched in partnership with Mission Hospital and is the first of its kind in the nation. She holds a Master’s and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. Dr. Alvarez is passionate about working with patients and caregivers to improve their health and increase their quality of life.

The pandemic may have closed our building, but nothing can stop our commitment to standing together with each of you in our union. We are OCEA strong!

In Solidarity,
