Superior Court Negotiations Update: Tentative Agreement Reached

Dear OCEA member,

The OCEA coalition bargaining team and the Orange County Superior Court reached a tentative agreement on a successor Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the General, Court Clerk, and Supervisor bargaining units. You can review the terms of the agreement on the flyer below.

The OCEA coalition bargaining team unanimously recommends a “Yes” vote on this agreement. Online voting is open now and continues through 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2022.

This agreement comes after seven negotiations sessions that have spanned two months. Your OCEA coalition bargaining team made wage enhancements its top priority. They fought every session to put more money into the pockets of OCEA members as quickly as possible.

OCEA General Manager and lead negotiator Charles Barfield and OCEA staff will discuss specifics of the tentative agreement at two OCEA membership meetings—Noon-1 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at OCEA Headquarters, 830 N. Ross St. in Santa Ana. Both meetings will cover the same topics and the 5:30 p.m. meeting will also have a virtual option. Zoom details are below. Food will be provided, so please RSVP at rsvp@ocea.org to ensure we order enough if you plan to attend in person.

In Solidarity,

OCEA
