Take a look at your paycheck this Friday

Dear OCEA County member:

When you receive your regularly scheduled paycheck this Friday, you will be happy to see the first of the four wage increases you will receive over the next 32 months. Your OCEA Bargaining Team negotiated this first 2.5% wage increase, to be followed by wage increases of 2.5% effective July 2020, 2.5% in July 2021, and 3.5% in July 2022.

As of this Friday, all County OCEA members will receive not only the 2.5% wage increase, but also an additional 1.2% pay increase as a result of a reduction in the reverse pick-up retirement contribution. Similar additional 1.2% pay increases will follow in July 2020 and July 2021. We were able to reach this agreement with the County because we stood together shoulder-to-shoulder during negotiations.  

I want to take this opportunity to thank the members of the OCEA Board of Directors and the OCEA Bargaining Team, who sacrificed countless hours to achieve this success on your behalf. Also, a huge thank you to those of you who stepped up to support those efforts at the bargaining table by organizing your co-workers. Your work ultimately led to successful negotiations and ratification by OCEA members.
