TENTATIVE AGREEMENT REACHED: Cadets MOU Details, Voting Info, & More

Dear AMEA Police Cadet Unit member,

AMEA and the City of Anaheim have reached a successor tentative agreement on wages, hours, and conditions of employment for AMEA represented employees in the Police Cadet Unit.

Over the past several months, your AMEA negotiations team—comprised of Executive Board members, members of the AMEA Police Cadet Unit, Senior Labor Representative Michelle Rubio, and Labor Representative Louis Gurrola—constantly reminded the City of your hard work and demanded fair compensation and recognition for your dedicated service to the public.

We succeeded and the tentative agreement includes a nearly 30% wage increase! By year two of the contract this will place Anaheim Police Cadets near the top of the market, making cadet work in Anaheim more desirable than it’s ever been before.

Voting to ratify the contract will occur from 7 a.m. to Noon Thursday, June 13, on the second floor in the Dispatch Supervisors office. You're bargaining team unanimously recommends a YES vote to ratify the tentative agreement.

Please review the Tentative Agreement below for MOU details.

If you have any questions please contact any AMEA Executive Board member, Bargaining Team member, or Michelle Rubio.

In Solidarity,

Your AMEA Bargaining Team

Jason Perez, AMEA First Vice President
Steven Goodwin, AMEA Second Vice President
