Tentative Agreement Reached: MOU Details, Membership Meetings & Voting Info!

Dear OCEA member,

After hard-fought negotiations, your OCEA negotiations team has reached a tentative agreement with the County. This three-year agreement provides you, every other OCEA-represented worker, and your families the fair wage increases you deserve: 4.75% effective the first full pay period after adoption by the Board of Supervisors, 4.25% effective June 28, 2024, and 4.0% effective June 27, 2025—a total of 13% over three years!

A summary of the agreement can be viewed below.

The OCEA Board of Directors and your negotiations team unanimously recommend a YES vote on the tentative agreement!

Special OCEA member meetings to discuss the specifics of the tentative agreement will take place at Noon and 5:15 p.m. Monday, June 19, at OCEA. Both meetings will cover the same topics. If you cannot attend one of these two meetings, the evening meeting will be a hybrid meeting and will be recorded and available for review at any time. OCEA negotiations team members will also be available all week to answer your specific questions via email, telephone, or in-person at OCEA!

Voting on the tentative agreement will occur online and you can vote from your work computer. You can vote by clicking here.

Voting begins at 5 p.m. today and will continue until 1 p.m. Thursday, June 22. If you prefer to cast your ballot in person, you may do so 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at OCEA, 830 N. Ross St., in Santa Ana.

In Solidarity,

Charles Barfield
