TTC Update: Sept. 30, 2022

Dear OCEA member,

Thank you to all Treasurer-Tax Collector members who responded to the follow-up survey and provided feedback on Agency progress regarding vacancies, leadership style, and TTC culture.

OCEA representatives met Friday, Sept. 23, with Treasurer-Tax Collector Sheri Freidenrich, Assistant Treasurer-Tax Collector James Kim, County Chief Financial Officer Michelle Aguirre, and County Chief Human Resources Officer Colette Farnes, to review progress made and pending action items.

There has been significant improvement in the vacancy rate—and culture and leadership style are improving—but areas of concern remain so we plan to solicit additional information from specific member groups.

The work to improve TTC is not over. It’s important to stand together and stay involved to create a better workplace for all. Workplace issues can only be resolved if you and your co-workers speak up and stay active.

We have limited open spots on the Organizing Committee and would love for you to join if you are committed to help shift TTC culture. Please email OCEA Labor Relations Representative Michelle Rubio at mrubio@ocea.org or OCEA Organizer Adam Ribota at aribota@ocea.org for more info.

In Solidarity,

Michelle Rubio
OCEA Labor Relations Representative
