Update: County-wide accrual glitch
Dear OCEA member,
Some of you have noticed that the accrual amounts for this pay period in the County's VTI payroll system are incorrect. That is because of a county-wide glitch in the system. We immediately contacted Human Resources with your concerns and received the following response:
- Auditor-Controller is aware of the incorrect posting and is taking steps to correct the balances;
- Your balances should be correct by the time you post your timesheet next week;
- You will not lose any accrued time due to the glitch.
Unfortunately, this mistake occurred at the same time as the new accruals were being posted for healthcare leave and vacation leave. There will not be any loss of time or accrual associated with this transition. You will accrue healthcare and vacation leave in the same amount you were accruing annual leave.
