The OCEA Negotiations Team met with the County yesterday, April 5, and we presented our first proposal—officially kicking off 2023 negotiations. We want to share elements of our presentation, which is a true reflection of your collective voice gathered from your completed negotiations surveys.

It is critical we collect input regarding all case-carrying positions so we can represent each assignment in upcoming discussions with the County. The survey deadline has been extended to Friday, April 21, 2023, to allow you the time to complete your survey.

The 2023 OCEA Board of Directors Scholarship will be awarded to three applicants this June. With ongoing inflation causing a rise in the cost of living, your OCEA Board of Directors has increased the award amount for each recipient from $2,000 to $2,500 for each scholarship.
