OCEA filed a Step 1 grievance against SSA for failing to follow the language and intent of the CFS Caseload Management Forum language in the Community Services MOU. SSA has denied the grievance. OCEA is escalating to Step 2 for adjudication by the Chief of Employee Relations.

Improved Retiree Healthcare Update: Jan. 19, 2023

As you may know, your retiree medical benefits are about to change. Effective June 16, 2023, the County is transitioning from the current Retiree Medical Grant to a Health Reimbursement Arrangement. The Tentative Agreement implementing this change was ratified by OCEA members and approved by the County Board of Supervisors in December.
