OCFA negotiations update, the JPA Board does not value you
September 24, 2021
Your bargaining team met with executive management this afternoon. We were hopeful that we would receive a proposal for a fair contract in recognition of all the work that you have done, especially during the COVID Pandemic. Unfortunately, the Fire Authority’s proposal was one big ZERO! A one-year extension and nothing else. No wage increases, no lump-sum payments, no additional time off, nothing to acknowledge all of the sacrifices that you have made as essential workers.
News article illustrates Council contempt for working families
September 24, 2021
As contract negotiations with the City continue, an article published this week by the Fullerton Observer covered the City Council’s Budget Study Session on September 14, 2021. The article paints an accurate picture of a City Council majority ideologically tied to budget cuts even though the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) provided the City with ample funding.

I was first elected to the Board in 2012, and I have consistently stood with you to protect your OCERS pension against attacks and unnecessary cost increases.
